We'll be visiting with my sister for Thanksgiving so I decided to post a day early. This shot comes from my visit to Grey Towers in May. Grey Towers was home to Gifford Pinchot and his family. An active conservationist, former Pennsylvania governor and U. S. Forest Service educator, Pinchot's home is now a national park with photo ops at every turn. This fellow (and his mate/pal) grace the garden which overlooks the valley where the town of Milford lies. Did you know that Ben Franklin wanted the turkey to be the U. S. A.'s national bird? I sure am glad that calmer heads prevailed and the Eagle was chosen instead!
Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow American 365ers- and to the rest of my international friends- just plain HAPPY DAY to you!
Thank you Margo, Chris, Suzie, Katy, Sally, Ferry, Nicole, Francoise and Daisy!
@francoise LOL I have never thought of that perspective!
