We had our holiday party tonight at photo club. It's a fun and informal meeting where we share our favorite shots of the year and snack on holiday treats. At the end of the meeting one of my friends walked up to me, handed me a bag with a small box in it (wrapped of course!) and said, "Don't open this here- wait 'til you get home." This was what was in the box! Wow- what can I say? I think I have some of the most supportive friends when it comes to photography! What an amazing gift!
Thank you Sally, Anita, Mz, Vikki, Phoebe, Karen, Julie, Debs, Chris, Kelsi, Diane, Pam, Katy, Rick and Joan! Yes, as you can imagine, I'm still somewhat in shock! But I have been playing with already and am looking forward to a day when the lighting is better so I can shoot some of the subjects I like best with it. So you will see results very soon! I can also honestly say that receiving a gift like this always makes me want to improve my aptitude with my equipment. So hopefully this year I'll find a way to do that. I really want to grow in that area because I've been so blessed with these amazing votes of confidence.
