It seemed that the busy background really detracted from the centerpiece of this shot, so I decided to go the selective coloring route, but it still needed something more to separate them. So I added the illustration effect and that seemed to do the trick.
@jennywren Thank you Jen! I decided the background was way too cluttered but a little processing magic and grandpa and grandson are featured the way I saw it.
