Decided to post this one in spite of the popularity of the first "edition"! This was more of what I had in mind. I think when I started the first one I got stuck on the band name (stars for the night) but the editing seemed a little heavy handed after I added all those layers and textures. So I went back to the drawing board.
Oh, Ann. This one is superb. FAV. I like the dark look of the other one but think this is even better. Interesting to see how different they are and the difference in the mood conveyed by that. Thanks for including the link to compare.
@grammyn Thank you Katy and thank you so much for the fav! @maggiemae Thank you Maggie! Yes, that could look like a ukulele but it's a mandolin and it is most likely being played by one of your distant relatives. I think the lady without an instrument is my grandmother- although she did play mandolin as well. The other two could be sisters or cousins- I'm not sure which. @aikimomm Thank you Phoebe! @barb_b Thank you Barb! I like this one better for the reasons Nina likes it too. @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @ninaganci Thank you Nina! I agree with you for the same reasons. @randystreat Thank you Kathy! Well, that is high praise- I'm sure my grandmother would have been pleased (although I think the music she played was more classical in nature).

Thank you Alta!
Thank you Sandy! It's my preference as well.
