We had a huge thunder and lightning filled rainstorm blow through our area this afternoon. It came and went in a matter of minutes. After things had calmed down I saw a Tufted Titmouse poking at something on the ground. The little "thing" was making quite a ruckus! It turned out to be this Katydid. His/her leg seemed to be injured but there was no way he/she was going to become someone's dinner! The Titmouse gave up and flew away. Poor thing- after that ordeal he/she had to put up with my camera for a few minutes. Afterwards I managed to get him/her to crawl on to something and hid him/her amongst my plants. But less than an hour later he/she was gone. His/her leg may have been hurt but after he/she dried off from the rain, his/her wings were working just fine.
Thank you Katy, Taffy, Allison, Kathy, Maggie, Phoebe, Peter Clare, Jackie, Alta, Ferry, Kerri, Sally, Lisa, and Wendy!
I so appreciate all your support on this one! And a special thanks to all those who fav'd it. I actually did get to see it on the PP tonight- fun!
