Friendly Scarecrow by olivetreeann

Friendly Scarecrow

Took the shot of this friendly fellow when out shooting the moon with Stephanie the other night. It's really just a fun shot- but wow, and I really hate using the flash but he'd never have shown up without it. The moon was just a bright dot in this shot, so I turned him into a star gazer. Did I mention that Stephanie made him out of corkboard and old wood? He's pretty cool looking!
He is a very trendy scarecrow

Are those really the stars in the sky behind Mr Scarecrow? You must be really away from city lights!

Someone had a good time decorating for the season and you captured it nicely.

Is it corkboard or corks? Either way it's a very unique scarecrow and I love the way you have processed this one

@nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole!
@cruiser Thank you Chris!
@777margo Thank you Margo and thank you for the fav!
@maggiemae Thank you Maggie! Yes, and no. Yes we do have spots around here where we can see a lot of stars, but no, this shot is accomplished on iPiccy by adding a "texture" of stars to it. The brightest one that has a star shape coming out of it (could also be a flower) is actually the moon and that was in the original shot along with the scarecrow. When the moon is full it is very difficult to see any stars. The reflected light of the sun sort of erases them. Someday I'll get a real star shot...

@randystreat Thank you Kathy!
@grammyn Thanks Katy! I think she said it was made out of corks, but I can't remember for sure- could even be both. But I'm pretty sure it's corks.
@daisymiller Thank you Daisy!
@salza Thank you Sally!
