From my travels around Whispering Pines Golf course. I think this fellow was practicing his shots up to the green, but it looked like he'd had enough of it when he left his clubs in the middle of the fairway and walked away from them.
I can't even imagine walking a bit, hitting a little ball, walking another bit, hitting it again, walking a bit more, hitting it again............and on and on, Uh!! My son and daughter in law are both avid golfers. My son and some friends flew back to South Carolina for a tournament recently -- had to postpone their flight back there a day because of Hurricane Matthew.
It gets difficult to find the ball sometimes with all the leaves on the ground. Golf balls just don't stand out very well when there are so many leaves. Nice shot BTW.
@aglennc Thanks Anita! My dad and sister, plus both my grandfathers all played golf. My younger son took it up for a little while but is too busy coaching a college soccer team right now to play on a regular basis. But all that being said, I've never felt compelled to play it. @lynbonn Thank you Lynda! It's very pretty there- but many leaves have come down with the colder and rainy weather we've had this week. @pej Thanks Paul! Maybe that's what he was doing- checking to see where the balls had landed. @grammyn Thanks Katy! @kwind Thanks Kim!
A BIG THANKS to all of you! I've had a very busy day but will return tomorrow to catch up with you and announce the finalists for WWYD.
@nicolecampbell It had that feel but I'm pretty sure he was checking on how close he was coming to the hole on the green there. He kept checking over his shoulder to see if I was photographing him too so I kept pretending to be looking at the fall foliage across the way!
