Backyard Story

The latest assignment for the 52 week challenge. We were told to tell a story about our immediate surroundings by giving a glimpse of our daily life. One of the things I enjoy each day is watching who's visiting my birdfeeder. The Red-headed Woodpecker has been coming everyday at pretty much the same time each day. He's such fun to watch- but he's very skittish! The blur you see in this shot is due to the fact that he'd landed and taken off and landed all within the span of about 10 seconds.
