This month's full moon is called the Buck Moon because the male deer start growing their antlers. I haven't seen a buck in the backyard yet, but I have seen the moon!
Most of the time I shoot the moon using the daylight setting on the AWB but you can get different results by choosing a different setting. Tungsten light often gives the moon a blue tint. Florescent light gives it a yellowish gray tint. I fiddled with this one until I got this brownish color similar to all the young bucks whose antlers are starting to grow now.
Thank you so much to one and all and a special thanks to those of you who gave it a fav! I love taking shots of the moon- even if this one was done at 1 AM in my pjs on the front lawn! I'm positive the neighbors think I'm bonkers!
