Artist: Cleopatra Selene (not the Cleopatra you're thinking of!). She was queen of Seleucid Syria from 83 to 69 B. C. and the daughter of Ptolemy VIII and Cleopatra III of Egypt. Her life was full of marriages- mostly to relatives! At one point she was forced into hiding but eventually took the Seleucid throne in Antioch and was then later ousted by the people she ruled when they invited foreign rulers to control the area after a series of Seleucid civil wars. She then controlled several coastal cities but was eventually besieged, captured, and executed in 69 B. C.
The album title comes from a quote from The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.
Language is the source of misunderstandings.
The picture is from 2012- part of a sculpture at the New Jersey Grounds for Sculpture but I forget the name!
