For the current Album Cover Challenge (as if the title didn't tell you that!)
Artist: Family Trade- An American reality TV series on the Game Show Network featuring Gardner Stone and his family who ran a car dealership in Middlebury VT by bartering instead of the traditional buy and sell method.
The title comes from a quote by Irish writer and politician Richard Steele who was best known for co-founding The Spectator magazine with his friend Joseph Addison.
Among all the diseases of the mind there is not one more epidemical or more pernicious than the love of flattery.
Catching up with all the challenges I usually join in- no need to comment on them all!
@henrir Thanks Henri! @grammyn Thanks Katy! They are relatives/ancestors on my father's side. I'm 99% certain that the young woman on the right is my grandmother (Dad's mom) but since it's not a perfectly clear picture, I'm hesitant to say it's her. She was a twin, so it could easily be her sister. I'm not sure who the others are- whether they're her siblings or cousins and unfortunately I have no one to double check with. But the fellow looked quite proud of himself and I felt it fit the title!
What a treasure. I feel your frustration with not being able to confirm identities with anyone having experienced it more and more since both of my parents are now gone
Thanks Helen!
Thanks Katy! My cousin- who's done an extensive search on our family history might know them. I will have to remember to bring the print version along the next time I'm going to see her.
@summerfield Thank you Vikki! Using a family shot seemed appropriate for the band name! And it worked out well that I had this fellow looking so smug and proud of himself! Thanks for choosing it as a finalist!
