I really enjoyed photographing Hurdle Hill Farm when I went out to see my niece graduate in May that I decided to make a book from all my photos. Since I was working on them, I decided to share them here too. So, it's Hurdle Hill Farm for the next few days!
Poor fellow- the birdie deposit makes it look like he's crying! Although Hurdle Hill Farm is now a bed and (no) breakfast (just rooms for rent), it appears from most of the outdoor decorations and the barn that it was at one time a horse farm. I never had the opportunity to chat with my hostess due to all the graduation festivities, but if I had, I was really interested to know the history of the place and how she came to be there.
Thank you Henri, Lou Ann, Mave, Kerri, Taffy, Sally, Katy and Helen!
@mave It was cast iron I think. @helenhall I had considered calling this "The Tracks of My Tears" after the popular song, but as you noted, the "tear drop" doesn't really come from the eye, so you got the rather uninspiring title "Horse Head" instead!

Thank you Wendy!
Thank you Marnie- it's not technically a full blown sculpture. It sits on top of a post on a split rail fence. But it does look like one in this picture.
@golftragic I wouldn't exactly call it a bust either (but I would call a bust a sculpture). I'll see if I have a shot of it so you can see what I mean and post it tomorrow.
