Critter Carols 9

One of the most amazing aspects of the Christmas story is expressed in the contemporary song "Mary Did You Know?" The lyrics were composed by Mark Lowry and the music was written by Buddy Greene. It was first recorded in 1991 by Michael English and has since been recorded by numerous artists in many different genres. Ironically, although the title has a beautiful sentiment, it is actually wrong. The Bible is clear that Mary understood her unique circumstances from the moment she was told she would "bear a son" to the arrival of the Wise Men bearing their unusual "baby gifts". Why so amazing? The Gospels answer that better than I ever could- especially since I'm in plastic mode photographing the Holy Family here! But if you're interested my thoughts, you may enjoy further musings by me here: www.annhlefevre.com

Click on the tab that says "Ready for the Road Ahead". Here's one of the more recent ones.

Interesting commentary. You're correct of ourse. She did know. And probably was scared to death!

I like this photo for all that it signifies. I also want to thank you for the link I was very impressed with your writings! You could teach my class and I have to take this coming semester! I love this song more and more every time I hear it. It makes me sad though as a mother to know that Mary knew her beautiful baby is going to suffer so someday. It must’ve been very difficult for her
