So, I think there are two aspects of this shot that make it difficult to figure out. The first is the high key treatment, although it did not really erase any of the important details. The second is the viewpoint. It was taken looking down (as if you are overhead) on this object which is an unusual but not impossible way to look at it. So what is it??? It's the front wheel on our wheelbarrow. The black part to the side is the rubber wheel, the white is the hub cap and the black and white cylinder piece it the axle.
