Playing with Bioluminescent Wood 1

A man and his wife contacted our photo club with an interesting offer. They had cut up a tree on their property which fell due to a recent windstorm and discovered it had bioluminescent bacteria growing in the bark. What this means is that the wood glowed in the dark! They said anyone who'd like to come an photograph the wood while it was still glowing could. (The bacteria over a period of time will eventually fade and die.) Well, you know me and things which glow in the dark! But I do struggle with getting things in focus when it's dark so I expected I'd be playing around with whatever I captured that night in post processing. The colors you see here have been enhanced but they are true to what I saw that night. It was fun to arrive before dark and then watch the glow slowly appear. I'll be sharing two more "plays" I had over the next two days and hopefully I'll get a chance to shoot some again.
How thrilling to see it and get such a great photo of it too! Well done Ann
