I have managed to get myself behind on the December word list so I'll post some shots in the second album and hopefully get caught up tomorrow!
Stopped in at the Natural Food Store today and was happy to discover the snowmen have returned to Stroudsburg! These art installments were begun by a local gallery and every year they appear for the winter holidays at different business establishments. There are about 30 of them and they are all decorated by different artists. This one is called "Girl Cat Power" and it was decorated by Heidi Hooper. Her reverse side is decorated with the graphics of Batman fame- maybe she's Catwoman? Unfortunately, she sits right next to the building so I couldn't photograph her "backside"!
Thank you one and all- I want to track down a map of where they all are so I can find ones I didn't get pictures of last year. It's fun to track them down and take their photos.
@mittens Most of the time I do that too- but I thought I'd switch it up and try to do them in order this month. However, I already know I probably won't be able to do that when we travel for Christmas.
@hjbenson I'm not sure if they're a project of the Arts Council or of Gamut Art Gallery in particular. I know it's published somewhere who runs it now so I'll have to track that down.
@salza Most of the time they are placed so you can do that. But this location really didn't have that kind of luxury due to the fact it's in a parking lot. We wouldn't want people running over the poor girl!
