A Black Swallowtail finally showed up to visit my flowers today! I was so excited and probably took at least 60 photos of him. Of course there were many to delete with that number but a few of the shots where he was beating his wings had an interesting twist to them. This was one of them with some Annfoolery added on for good measure.
Thank you so much for all the views, comments and favs! I must clarify that I didn't create the hearts- they are part of the Heart Petunias that we bought and put in pots on the deck. When I saw them I thought they'd be a great butterfly attraction because of their colors. But this is the first butterfly (well second- I had a White European Cabbage Butterfly stop by the other day but in my mind they're nothing special!) to take notice of them. However, he preferred the Red Geraniums and kept going back to them. He is difficult to see here but the entire swirl on the right side is the movement of his wings as he took off from the flower.
The foolery aspect was blurring the flower some more and adding those swirls in the upper left as well as bumping up the vibrance.
