Our photo club had a blast shooting these unique railroad cars today. Track cars are generally used for maintenance. Some are small and seat 1 to 2 people and others are larger and designed to carry both crew and equipment. Most of the members of this club kept their vehicles true to the time they were first manufactured so we got to see quite a progression in style and comfort levels! The one in front here was one of my favorites. It reminded me of a locomotive. I took almost 200 pictures today- of course some of them were not worth keeping! But you'll be seeing a lot of track car shots throughout the month of September! I would love to ride the rails some time on one of these!
I will have to pay closer attention to the cars that I see doing this every now and then on a Sunday afternoon. I don’t think ours look this sophisticated. Terrific shot of them.
Thank you so much to each and every one of you. They really were such great subjects to shoot.
@shutterbug49 Some of the owners do take passengers but I didn't find out which ones in this group did it. I'm sure there would be a fee involved.
@grammyn Apparently there are clubs all over the country.
