I am not a coffee drinker, but Jeff is! So when the Critters realized we needed some props for today's photo, they knew where to look. These little bags contain unroasted coffee beans. They were given to Jeff by a client who sells them to those fancy coffee shops that specialize in exotic brews and coffee concoctions. I'm not sure why Jeff brought them home- we have no place to roast coffee!! But they did work well for today's photo. Lovely vintage look. I am not sure how one can effectively roast coffee beans at home. There's probably information available through Google and no doubt a video on YouTube!
Thank you Katy, Bill, Dixie, Taffy, Phoebe, Sally, Jill, Joan, Jen, Jane, Graham and Pyrrhula! And a special thanks to those who fav'd it! Every comment and fav is greatly appreciated!
@salza There probably is, but I think I'm just going to bring them to a coffee roaster next Saturday at the Farmer's Market and see if they want them!
And for all of those who might be curious- it's basically sepia with a texture. Nothing too fancy this time- I wanted the writing to still be visible.
@digitalrn I was just thinking of you yesterday! All is well now- the car died, but my inheritance from Dad came in and we were able to replace it. Camera club has kept me busy and there are "rumors" that since the current president has served as long as he can as president, and the other former president is not interested in returning to the position, they have their sights set on me- yikes!! Family is well and we miss them, but will be up to visit the NY crew at the end of Oct. Hope all is well with you too- I'm sure Scarlet is as adorable as ever and you've been happily watching her rather than being on here!
