I just wanted to show Kathy A that her moon shot had "good bones". Kathy- I used a very simple program like Picmonkey which is available to all ACE members. (I used Ribbet- but they are virtually identical).
I did three things to your shot-
I sharpened it
I improved the contrast (increased it so that the light and dark spots were more noticeable)
and I lowered the exposure (like turning down a light in a room).
I think the Powershot XS series is great for moon shots- so now you have some tools to work with if you want.

@kjarn It is a very simple edit which you can easily do on Picmonkey. So the next time you take a moon shot and want to do this to it, let me know and I will give you the instructions on how to get it over to Picmonkey and do the same thing. Also feel free to copy and save this into your computer! After all, it's your shot!
