This rather dilapidated building is one of the sheds close to the market. I think it is or was used for keeping pigeons as there is a sign on the wall of the building.
Some of the old buildings next to the market and racetrack are only used for storage of some kind which is why they are in a rather sorry state of repair.
Not all the buildings in this area are in this state and tomorrow I will post a collage of some of the gorgeous old houses in this town.
Maitland is a very old town and has lots of history.
Nice half and half shot- I love old run-down buildings like this. The broken or missing windows, peeling paint and slanted slats really make a for a great composition.
I think the pigeons must be very smart though because there was a sign outside that said PIGEONS and an arrow to the door. I wonder if the pigeons can read!
@jgpittenger Yes I think I will be able to stop seeing half and half possibilities, at least in the short term. I find it difficult to do a whole month of one theme as I tend to get a bit bored with it.
