Light painting lights and wheels by onewing

Light painting lights and wheels

for anyone who is interested this is the set up for the light painting lights on the pole and the wheel for the dome and wiggly lines.

Not the best pictures in the world, but just demonstrating how they are made.

Here are the photos made with this equipment.

@paul10 Here is a link on how to make a dome using a wheel. As you can see here I just used a piece of wood attached to the wheel, much easier to do as we always have plenty of wood in our shed.

You know what else works really good? Take a wire whisk and stuff it with several strands of little lights. Attach a short dog leash to the end of the whisk and then swing it around while someone takes the long exposure shot. We got some beautiful results from that.

Thanks so much for sharing this information! I'm excited about giving both of these a try! :-)

@olivetreeann Good idea Ann I will give it a try when I get more time. I have done orb light painting with a torch on a string and spun it round, but not with little lights.

@louannwarren @alophoto @merrelyn @ingrid01 @seattlite @jesperani @henrir @huvesaker @maggiemae @littleconnie @suzanne234 @gaylewood Thanks. Look forward to seeing your light painting photos.
@pcoulson I hope Jenny's bike is safe.

@kathiecb Damn, I didn't think you would notice that a wheel was missing.

@helenhall David is the engineer that makes the equipment and does the spinning, I just take the photos. He works well under instruction.
