This is the Grand Staircase in Chatsworth House. I was practising using my fisheye lens inside the house. I waited for a long time to get no one in the shot - this was the best i could do with two people at the top of the stairs. This is 3 bracketed shots merged in LR.
Holy Moly! I'd even throw our my rusty lanterns if I were invited to move in! I live a nice life, but I can't wrap my head around that kind of luxury! I suppose it's why we all flock to oggle!
@Weezilou I always think it must have been a bit chilly in these houses before central heating! Especially up there in the Derbyshire Sales! I suppose that's why the beds were all four posters with thick curtains to draw round! Then again I suppose the maid would have built a fire in your bedroom. Such a different way of life! I love to see the "upstairs" and "downstairs" and the huge differences!
