2016 10 24 Can you spot the mistake in this photo?
Back to our visit to Ross Farm, Nova Scotia, where they recreate the cooper, the blacksmith, the school house and the kitchen from the 1800's. (must check the date). The cooks were baking on an old range and we all had a taste of their wonderful cookies. This pot of beans was just out of the oven and I saw it being transported on the horse and cart to the cooper and blacksmith for their lunch.
I was processing this image when I noticed something that I am sure would not have been an item of cookware back then. Can you spot it?
Hate it when someone says that. Now I think I can see something I shouldn't, but I keeping quiet really out being completely wrong and emaressed. What I will say is that's a hell of a lot of beans!
Wonderful photo, but big *whoops* to the measuring cup (that you seem to not even have in England!?!) and probably the stainless steel bowl to its left as well! (This reminds me of how much fun it is to catch something amiss in a movie!)
@Weezilou Yes it's pyrex measuring jug. The jugs in England don't have the Cup measurement which is what I wanted. So funny how I never noticed these things until I was processing the shot.
Haha!! Saw the pyrex right away (AFTER I read your narrative). So funny they would have that there as everything else is true to period, it seems. They can't love that you have this documentation in the photo!!
