The Smith River was Full and the fog was hanging over it as it neared the Pacific. A few drift boats were out looking for salmon. I love this river and it is high on my list of natural things that I am thankful for. I love it at flood stage and when it is jade green and swimmable. My son loves fishing it and my other son thinks its best for climbing high above and jumping into. I love it most for how it tumbles through the redwoods in waterfalls and lazy eddies.
