Writing, Photography, weaving, painting and polymer clay figures, doodles on rocks, a passion for color and a love of Sharpies. All these go into this Friday's concept of why I am Thankful I am Me.
Don't think. Thinking is the enemy of creativity. It's self-conscious, and anything self-conscious is lousy. You can't try to do things. You simply must do things.
Ray Bradbury
I have not tried doodling on rocks, but I am a constant doodler! I think my professors in undergrad studies would have been surprised to see that those intensive notes I was taking were illustrated as well! Nice collage Dixie- these things really do represent your creativity so well.
oh look at all these wonderful stuff you've created. you are so artistic. i remember years ago, i found in my mother's cabinet a stash of old Christmas and valentine's cards that we made in school. mine were so ugly and stupid looking and i told my mother to throw them away. she told me they were her treasures. my father kept the treasures but when i asked for them years ago, the little witch he married told me they got wet during a flood and she threw them away.
@summerfield I'm sorry you lost your treasures, but you never will lose the knowledge that your mom treasured you. And whether you made ugly or beautiful artwork in school, you do make beautiful things here.
