Mack and City Hall by pasadenarose

Mack and City Hall

I first posted a photo of this memorial to the Robinson brothers (Jackie and Mack) on Sept 26.

Today I came back for a different view.

The two bronze heads are situated so that they face the ultimate destinies of each brother: Jackie faces east to signify his move to the east coast to pursue baseball.

Mack, who remained in Pasadena, faces Pasadena City Hall.

Side note: I took 6 to 8 photos and when I got home and saw them on the computer screen, I realized that the chick in the bright pink is in EVERY shot. After I zoomed in, I realized I had captured a photo shoot. LOL

Nice composition! Too funny that you caught a shoot while you were shooting!

I love the perspective and missed your first shot earlier this year so I am glad you referenced it!. It makes this one more understandable for me. You need to tag this for the theme this week which is pink! I think it would be perfect for it!

@melissapike @grammyn @salza @kbalychev @jenrobcarr

Thank you all.
And thanks, Katy for the info on the pink theme. I never follow any of those because I figure I have enough trouble sometimes just coming up with a shot for the day, without adding another layer of difficulty by trying to find a CERTAIN subject. LOL It's cool that I tripped over this one by accident. I'll definitely tag it. Thanks again. :-)

@bardejov @kathyladley @gigiz

Thank you so much. I was pretty pleased with it, but it's nice to have unbiased input, letting me know that it's not all in my head. ;-)
'Pinky' bugged me when I realized none of the shots were void of her, but at least I made her famous. LOL

Kathy, it is a VERY pretty building, and especially so when lit up at night. Once I get a Gorilla-Pod, I'll work on getting a night shot.

What a fantastic shot. I love the detail. I had the same thing happen at the capitol building in Sacramento, there was a photo shoot going on while taking photos. Nice extra for you for the theme.
