Spent part of the day walking around downtown with a gal pal. It was a busy Sunday in the city with sirens wailing frequently above the sound of the urban hustle and bustle. A lot of helicopters buzzing around too, but I've never been able to identify them in flight, so I don't know which may have been police choppers, versus news media or private helicopter tours. All I know is the sky and streets were busy, but it was all pretty normal to me since I work in that area. I probably wouldn't have noticed half of it if my friend hadn't brought it all to my attention.
As we neared Broadway and 3rd, we noticed the street was blocked off. It turns out there was a terrible fatal accident, where a pick-up truck drove up onto the sidewalk and killed one person and injured several others. You can see one of the news vans clearly and one is partially hidden behind the light post. There were many more in addition to those two.
I've been trying to add some street candids to my album, and when I spotted this guy I knew he was a perfect candidate.
