Reunited and it feels so good
Reunited cuz we understood
There's one perfect fit
And sugar, this one is it
We both are so excited
Cuz we're reunited, hey hey.
I don't know how far the sweet Twinkie has spread throughout the world, but here in the states, it's nearly as American as hamburgers and apple pie.
Sadly, the company that makes them went bankrupt a few months ago. No more Twinkies. :-( There was much sadness in our country. Whatever would become of us? ;-)
Then another company came to the rescue and bought the rights to produce the luscious cake, and Americans were able to rejoice. LOL
They are actually very bad for you, and I rarely eat them, but I did rush out and buy some before they stopped making them, and then I rushed out again when they hit the shelves about 8 months later. It proved to be a difficult endeavor, because so many people had rushed out ahead of me!
Anyway, I thought the occasion deserved a fancy plate and the real silverware. :-)
A deserving place of honor for an iconic dessert! I lo e your creativity and the shot. It does looks as if someone has at least one bite of that Twinkie too!
Such an elegant setting! Perfect for the twinkie! Wonderful song to play while dining! If they are the twinkles from 1945 it means they are the fountain of youth! May need more of those! Haha!
Love that song and your tribute. They look smaller than they used to look as my sons girlfriend bought a pack for him a couple days ago. Have not eaten one in years. Love your photo, what a great idea.
LOL!! Scary thought, but you might be right.
