Shepherds Hut

This is a circular dry stone Shepherds Hut with a corbelled roof, no mortar or cement used just 50 ton of bedded sandstone. around it is a dry stone walled enclosure.
What a neat little hut and cleverly done without cement.

@onewing Thank you Babs its very well constructed without any gaps in the stones, its the first one I've seen but there are still a few around Yorkshire:)

@gilbertwood Thank you for your comment Denise, these were generally built on hill farms, shepherds used them as shelter especially at lambing time:)

@quietpurplehaze Ha Ha little to long ago and miles away from power, I could not get into the hut but suspect we would find an old whale oil lamp hanging from the roof:)
