Engineering toolroom

This is a preserved engineering tool room in part of an old Moorside textile mill now the Bradford Industrial Museum,
Moorside Mill was built around 1875 as a small worsted spinning Mill by John Moore. Ownership of the mills changed many times. In 1970, Bradford Council bought Moorside Mills and created an innovative museum free for all to visit,
Looks very interesting

What great detail in all these tools. I love the way these types of buildings and their interiors are being preserved. You can almost hear the noise that would have emitted from such a building

at first glance i thought this was the industrial museum in Leeds.. it looks very interesting and i think i will have to go have a butchers.. i like your chosen Pov.. DoF, of course, was taken care of by using 28 mm for exposure.. a very interesting and intriguing image Peter.

It must have been terribly noisy when the mill was in operation.

@jorlam Thank you Sue There are a few Industrial museums in the north of England most cities have at least one, but you being a Bradfordian would know that, the noise and lack of space must have been awful:)

@jorlam Thank you for your comments Jorlam, its a nice compact museum with lots to see well laid out and looked after at the moment there is a photographic exhibition Called Grafters images of working people from 1865 to the last shift at Kellingley Colliery the last deep coal mine in Lancashire 18th December 2015, which was the reason for my visit, it was well worth it I'm sure you will find lots to interest you, as for the shot I wanted to get as much detail as possible with the limited light from the windows:)

@onewing Thank you for you comments Babs, it was so noisy in the mills those working on the machines learned to lip read as it was the only way to communicate, I understand the workers chatted to each other passing the time of day as if the person was next to them, most ended their working lives as deaf as a post:)

This is just a fascinating capture Peter. I suppose it's the male or maybe the engineer in me, but this is like great art IMO. I know, I'm nuts.

What a jumble of machinery. I wonder if it was designed or just evolved.
