Darent Valley by peadar

Darent Valley

Here's another try-out with the panorama merge tool in Adobe Lightroom. I am finding it remarkably forgiving in terms of technical input; all five of the images going into this panorama were taken hand held and with only rough estimates of where the margins lay.

This valley is one of our favoured weekend walking areas, only a 15 minute drive away yet it feels like mid-Kent, and aside from the history (everything from a Roman Villa to medieval castles and some wonderful churches) there are good walking footpaths of varying length and great pubs (and other forms of refreshment!).

The Lavender Farm in the foreground has featured in my 365 photos previously. Here you can see the crop is not quite ready so I shall return in a few weeks and the scene should be very much more dramatic.

The purple adds a nice area of colour. You are lucky to have such a panoramic walking area nearby.
