bassoon keys 1

So, I'm loading this a day later as my PC suffered a hard drive failure, so I spent all of 5th buying and configuring a new processor. Luckily, I had backed up fairly recently so haven't lost that much data - note to self - back up more often!

Anyway, more bassoon detail for you. These keys are operated by the left thumb. As you can see, there's a lot for the left thumb to do!!!
Great photograph - nice focus and dof - well done!

Interesting shot. I'm guessing you've had this bassoon for quite a while?

@shirljess @lizzy_lu123 Thanks, guys, appreciate the comments!

@carmel Ariel - yes, I've had this model for about 30 years. The EPNS coating on the keys gets pitted by the acid sweat from your fingers!

Argh computers are so annoying! Glad you didn't lose too much. Like the dof on this, and that you can see the wear on the keys - gives it character.

@francois291059 Thanks, Francois, appreciate that.
@jenniprior Jenni, yes, you hit the spot. Computers are officially very annoying, but what would we do without them? Thanks for the comments.

Oh I love this! Great dof and I really love how worn the keys are, shows how much you love your instrument.

Oooh. I like this. Lovely flowing shapes. :)

@_amyd_ Thanks, Amy. Yes, it is a beautiful instrument in many ways!

This is probably my favourite of your bassoon shots. I like the close-up and nicely controlled DoF.

By the way, if you're looking for a good backup solution, I can recommend mozy or CrashPlan. I've used both to good effect.

@damianpowell Thank you, Damian. For the comment and the backup advice!
