OK, yesterday was the keys under the left thumb, here are the ones that lay under the right thumb. The black rollers allow the thumb to slide easily from one key to the other.
This is looking like an instrument that takes a lot of skill to learn to play. I just googled to see if there was much written for it and was surprised at how many bassoon concertos there are. Not something you really hear very much about.
@carmel Ariel, yes, there's lots. Famous pieces featuring the bassoon include The Sorcerer's Apprentice, Bolero, The Rite of Spring (featured in Fantasia)... and the theme music to Hector's House!
Again, great dof. I'll have to do some shots like this my the sax and flute. Also, keeping an eye on eBay for other instruments which would be good to photograph and learn to play.
