This Eurasian Jay (also known as the Blue Jay, or just Jay) couldn't decide whether it was worth trying the peanut feeder in the garden. After a few minutes he clearly felt it wasn't worth it and flew off!
These birds are also known as "Acorn Jays" because their preferred food is acorns, which they find and bury (to store). However, they often forget where they have stored them, and many acorns therefore go undisturbed and grow into oak trees. I believe it is thought this led to the rapid spread of oak trees in England after the last Ice Age.
