This captures one aspect of Africa - a taxi driver told us the lights on this rail crossing hadn't worked for "the last century" (and I quote), yet the crossing is in regular use and the railway seems to be well used. Just to the left of this crossing there was a marshalling and goods yard, and locomotives were often traversing to and fro across the crossing which had no gates, no crossing keeper, no warning lights, yet everyone seemed to cope very well with it!
@lizzy_lu123 Thanks, Lisa.
