Continuing the Provencal theme in the Extras album. It's not all vineyards and terracotta roofs. This is the summit of Mt Ventoux, 1912m above sea level. These heroic (mad?) cyclists have just cycled 23km uphill, at an average 7% gradient.

We have friends who live near Ventoux. We once saw a women going up it on a shopper! Next year's Tour is going there again. The Tommy Simpson memorial is very moving, I found.
