Bug shot by peadar

Bug shot

Extras: I've not really had much success with bug shots over the years - so when this little chap presented himself close to the House this morning, I thought "365" - what else? Best viewed on black (just click the photo, if you're not sure how to do this).

In the UK these are called "Green Shield Bugs", I think, although there are other colloquial names elsewhere (Green Stink Bugs, Green Soldier Bugs etc).

Later note: Just realised this shot qualifies for two of the June daily word challenges -Bug" and "Macro"!
Well this image is a real success. Well done

@sarahlth Thanks, Sarah.
@fbailey Yep. spot on. They're called something else outside the UK I think.
@onewing Babs, thanks. He does, doesn't he. I was surprised he stayed and posed for the shot, as the lens was only about 2cm from his head. I suppose it may have been a bit cold for him first thing!
@flowerfairyann Thank you, Ann.
@quasi_virtuoso Thanks, Rachel.
