Yes, I know it's brown headed. And it's not a seagull. So says the RSPB, rather emphatically. This is the bird in summer plumage; quite striking, I think.
I was walking along a path by the side of the River Medway, the tide was low, and these gulls were rooting around amongst the litter from a nearby retail park (sigh...)
