The dreaded retail centre (again, sigh). I may not be the only one looking for an Oasis in such circumstances (and, I eventually found it... in the coffee shop!).
I hadn't noticed previously, but running along the top of the wall around the upper mall area there are carved depictions of ancient trades - here there are "Skinners", "Haberdashers", "Salters" and "Ironmongers". They reminded me of the Stations of the Cross that you see in many Churches. Has retail replaced religion in many lives, do you think?
How do you get talked into going to these place's I admit we only go when it is really necessary even then I moan, as Jan is not a great shopper and only spend's a short a time as possible there it not bad.
like the carvings at the top.
I hate the intrusiveness of sellers. On the other hand, they irritate me when I need information and they ignore me. The only thing I like are air-conditioned cafes where you can relax from the heat.
Interesting shot.
like the carvings at the top.
hope the coffee was good
