This is Thornton Station, on a branch line no longer open and not even connected to the national rail network. However, it is in the process of being 'rescued' by enthusiasts, who plan to restore the line to operating standards, and run heritage trips between Poulton (near Blackpool) and Fleetwood (the Victorian era port to the north). They already have an old steam loco and vintage diesel 2-car commuter train under restoration.
The "LMS" here refers to the "London, Midland & Scottish" railway, one of the large train operating companies that existed before the nationalisation of the railways and "British Railways" era.
That’s nice, that there are some passionate people out there to give this beautiful old station a new life. It will be nice for the next generation, to have a ride on a steam train.
