It was another beautiful day today in the UK and this is a maro shot of some flowers that live in my garden pond. The sun was still pretty high but still managed to cast a bit of a shadow on the petals.
I'm quite pleased with this shot...SOOC , other than a crop to take out a bit of orange in the top left hand corner (orange...a fish ...a goldfish !!)
Phil, this is a beautiful shot of the yellow flowers in the pond. The composition works very nicely and invokes a sense of calm with the subtle reflection on the water.
@judithg Thanks Judith, the water was 'luscious' because I gave the pond a good clean and 'de sludged' my pump a couple of hours before I shot the little yellow flowers :)
@patsyjphillips Patsy you are very kind with your comments and it is kind of you to 'fave' it as well :).....I must admit I was suprised how well my camera coped with the picture :)
@gill Thanks Gill, like all good pictures, the pond and flowers benefited from some beautiful light, so it's all down to the light rather than me :)...Thanks for the 'fave'...it's always great when you get a 'fave' of a friend :)
Saw these on the pop page, a lovely shot and just my cup of tea. Now I've been going back over your calendar. Isn't it amazing how little we know about the rest of our own country, never mind the global community here. A Bolton Wanderers ticket holder no less!! I live with a Man Utd season ticket holder and we live in Suffolk, so I know about distances travelled!!! Going to have to add you to my list :-))
