Bikes By The Railings

Two bikes chained up outside Newark On Trent's parish Church

Very Cambridge..esque don't you think?

Very Judith...esque don't you think?

Really hard to photograph because there was lots of light, shadows and sun in the frame.

I converted the shot to monochrome because ....well because I did !

I straightened the left hand side railing post (in Photoshop elements) so it held the frame together. I quite like using GIMP for photo editing, but straightening things in GIMP is not quite as easy as PSE.

Nice lines and shapes

Beautiful shot. I've just downloaded Gimp - might be asking for pointers.

A bike photo @judithg would have been proud of! Like that they are facing opposite directions!

Oh yes a quality shot Phil!! I'm quite jealous of all that parking space along those railings! Fav! Quite hilly your way?

I don't know how I got so far behind in viewing your pictures, Phil. I really like this one, the contrast of round wheels against the vertical fence and the two sizes of bikes. Also like the varies lines of the sidewalk and the details behind the fence. Great detail shown to advantage in B&W.
