I had photographed stranger Lucy before I shot this and I had done some shots inside her shop (not posted) and had bumped the ISO up and had the aperture wide.
This is the first grab shot after the inside the shop shot and it resulted in a blown out sky.
So I edited it in GIMP, recovered some shadows, added some grain and came up with what I consider to be a bit of an old 35mm film look...or maybe not !
Anyway, three shoppers making there way up towards the Lace Market
It does have that vintage/timeless feel I like the overblown quality here and probably more so in that they are walking towards that sky so the brightness isn't a distraction, rather an invitation.
I like what you did with it. I very often forget to bring down the ISO after I take a picture in a dark atmosphere. I don't mind as long as I remember and take other shots or as long as I can correct in the editing.
You did a good job on it and succeeded in travelling back in time! Maybe as far back as the Pentacon 50mm? Except they might have been walking towards you? We were unafraid to let them see us pointing a camera at them back in those days. I love the dreariness you have conveyed here. If you shot in RAW you could retrospectively have adjusted the ISO after opening the RAW file in PS ... I don't know about GIMP
