I haven't done many "football related 100 strangers" during the 2018-2019 season. Maybe the poor football on offer by Bolton Wanderers has something to do with that !
Anyway, today Bolton were playing Millwall at the UniBol stadium and I told myself that I ought to have a Millwall supporter in my strangers project.
I always walk a couple of circuits of the stadium prior to kick off, to stretch my legs after over two hours in the car driving from Nottingham to Bolton.
Walking by the South Stand took me past the queue of Millwall supporters waiting to enter the stadium.
At the back of the queue was Naymor. He was smiling and chatting to a lady and I thought he would make a great stranger.
I introduced myself and Naymor was quick to say yes.
I asked him if he would stand bu the stadium wall as it would make a good backdrop.
While I was photographing Naymor, he was smiling and laughing at the lady he was with when I approached him.
"Is that your wife", I asked.
Naymor, laughed out loud and told me it was his Auntie !
I asked him why he supported Millwall (there is always a story behind which team we support) .
Naymor told me his Uncle Phil (Phil Walker) used to play for Millwall in the 1970's . I told him I couldn't remember his Uncle. To be fair to me, Bolton didn't play Millwall much in the 1970's as we were often in different divisions.
"Look him up" said Naymor. Which I did and he has the same smile and eyes .
It was a bit of a rushed shoot as we were approaching kick off time, so I just confirmed if it was OK to post online.
After the shoot , I wondered if his Auntie was Phil's wife. Google told me that Phil Walker was also the Uncle of Tottenham full back Kyle Walker-Peters.
Anyway I've gone a bit off topic, I really like the photo of Naymor. It was shot on my old Canon 450D and edited in Rawtherapee and GIMP.
I like his hat too , very cool
Thanks for being stranger 161 Naymor. I am not too sure if it is Naymor or Namor , so apologies if I got the name not quite right !

Morning everyone . Thank you for all your support and lovely comments . This pic made the Popular Page which is always a nice accolade to recieve.
I am impressed that my canon 450D which I've had for over 10 years can still produce great pics . Shooting in RAW with the 50mm f1.8 lens probably helps.
Thanks again everyone
