Yorkshire Rose? by phil_sandford

Yorkshire Rose?

Another for the ‘Flash of Red’ February challenge.

This week sees the flashofred2018 challenge move to 'compositional elements' of photography. My reading on this subject is from this site; very educational.

Today rule #9 - I’ve ‘filled the frame’ with one of the roses I bought from Sainsburys on Monday. Not always sure B&W works with flowers, but think this does.

Thank you for your views, comments and favs on yesterday’s offering. Much appreciated
Nicely focused on the centre and the lack of colour lets the details 'do the talking' 🙂

Beautiful example. B&w really does have a lot in its favour :)

Beautiful focus on the centre of this lovely rose..

Excellent focus, the b&w emphasises the folds of the petals.
