It was Mums 84th birthday this weekend so called to take her out for lunch on our way home from holidays. We called at The Round House on the way. It is the first and oldest surviving railway round house, engines to be repaired were rolled in and then turned on the turntable to one of the side pits. It was hard to imagine many engines in one small space. A Christmas fair was on as we were looking around
Lovely shot! I've never been in although we live in Derby and we had intended to visit the Christmas Fair on Sunday but there was such a queue of traffic waiting to get parked, that we gave it a miss. It always looks such an intriguing building from the outside alone so it's great to see your picture
@perspectivesimages it was so busy and David being so tall managed to get some yummy samples as we walked through @happypat Haha we ate somewhere else @pennystot we thought it was brilliant, the antiques roadshow was filmed there recently
