A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Wahey! Spring is on the way and this is the proof needed. Lovely shot Hazel :) I think after the age of 40 any sudden change of position always presents a challenge! :D
Sterling, it can be! Today I noticed a tiny purple anemone beside this one and another bud unfurling from the earth. Did you see my bergenia yesterday - http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2013-02-22 and there are also the hellebores.
Besides being in the south of England we do seem to be in a pocket of a little microclimate right here.
Coming back of crouching is a big problem for me to if you`re in the middle of no where ( in the country ), wet clay , and nothing to hold on. Well, I do everything for a world famous pic. to capture .
A wonderful capture of this beautiful Anemone . we have still frost
@pyrrhula
I'm glad I'm not the only one to have to think about getting up from crouching to take a pic. We don't like to admit it but it gets to be a fact of life! We all make sacrifices/take chances for 365!
Beautiful plant Hazel ... i use to do alot of gardening but i have not done as much over the last few years .... i will have to get my spade out and get cracking .......when the weather gets warmer !!! ...lol
Oh I'm double jealous - for one thing you've got flowers in your garden and for another I love anemones but every time I sow seeds I forget and 'weed' them out!
Oh I love your focus here Hazel :-)
I have just been having a bit of a look through my followers and people I follow, did you know you were my first ever follower :-) Thank you!
@gemtumble
Well if I knew, I've now forgotten so thank you, Gemma, for telling me that. I was, and am, pleased to be one of your followers. I think you've made such fantastic photographic progress since you started 365 (I don't claim any credit!)
Justine, thanks for your comment! No, not on my elbows and knees, just crouching - but still not that easy to get back into the vertical again!!!
Pam, thank you, don't be jealous - there are not that many!
Darren, my changes of position are not sudden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ray in the lounge is wondering what I'm chuckling at here in the hall on the computer........
Thank you so much. I took a few shots at different angles and this one was unexpectedly by far the best one. The wood is the end of the decking.

Yes it's definitely not gardening weather right now!
I hate to say this but these anemones have been coming up each year for several years...... Maybe you'll have to give weeding a miss!

Thank you. Arthur. It's the UNcrouching that's the problem of course?!!
