'earth': first anemone blooming in our garden

Ooo!! *happy clapping!* Were you actually on your elbows and knees to take this? The point of view is just perfect and the colour is delightful!

@justine_x

Justine, thanks for your comment! No, not on my elbows and knees, just crouching - but still not that easy to get back into the vertical again!!!

Lovely - I am so jealous of the flowers in your garden!!

@pamknowler

Pam, thank you, don't be jealous - there are not that many!

Wahey! Spring is on the way and this is the proof needed. Lovely shot Hazel :) I think after the age of 40 any sudden change of position always presents a challenge! :D

@darrenboyj

Darren, my changes of position are not sudden!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 23rd, 2013
@quietpurplehaze :)) neither are mine Hazel!!!
February 23rd, 2013

@darrenboyj
Ray in the lounge is wondering what I'm chuckling at here in the hall on the computer........

@summerfield

Thank you so much. I took a few shots at different angles and this one was unexpectedly by far the best one. The wood is the end of the decking.

Lovely splash of red.
February 23rd, 2013
Hazel, how can this be, it's freezing and snowing here!! It's beautiful, looks like Spring!
February 23rd, 2013
@gnilrets

Sterling, it can be! Today I noticed a tiny purple anemone beside this one and another bud unfurling from the earth. Did you see my bergenia yesterday - http://365project.org/quietpurplehaze/365/2013-02-22 and there are also the hellebores.
Besides being in the south of England we do seem to be in a pocket of a little microclimate right here.

Coming back of crouching is a big problem for me to if you`re in the middle of no where ( in the country ), wet clay , and nothing to hold on. Well, I do everything for a world famous pic. to capture .
A wonderful capture of this beautiful Anemone . we have still frost

@pyrrhula
I'm glad I'm not the only one to have to think about getting up from crouching to take a pic. We don't like to admit it but it gets to be a fact of life! We all make sacrifices/take chances for 365!

Sam
Beautiful plant Hazel ... i use to do alot of gardening but i have not done as much over the last few years .... i will have to get my spade out and get cracking .......when the weather gets warmer !!! ...lol
February 23rd, 2013
@samr
Yes it's definitely not gardening weather right now!
February 23rd, 2013
Oh I'm double jealous - for one thing you've got flowers in your garden and for another I love anemones but every time I sow seeds I forget and 'weed' them out!
February 23rd, 2013
@judithg
I hate to say this but these anemones have been coming up each year for several years...... Maybe you'll have to give weeding a miss!
February 23rd, 2013
Another sign of spring! Lucky you. It snowed here again today
February 24th, 2013
such a pretty shot .....love the splash of red!
February 24th, 2013
I love anemones, love the colour on this one.
February 24th, 2013
Welcome spring! Beautiful and hopeful shot!
February 24th, 2013
Nice pov Hazel, worth the effort of crouching down to that level. I am finding it increasingly difficult now.
February 24th, 2013
Oh I love your focus here Hazel :-)
I have just been having a bit of a look through my followers and people I follow, did you know you were my first ever follower :-) Thank you!
February 24th, 2013
@gemtumble
Well if I knew, I've now forgotten so thank you, Gemma, for telling me that. I was, and am, pleased to be one of your followers. I think you've made such fantastic photographic progress since you started 365 (I don't claim any credit!)
February 25th, 2013
@wordpixman
Thank you. Arthur. It's the UNcrouching that's the problem of course?!!
February 25th, 2013
@quietpurplehaze Argh thank you :-)
February 25th, 2013
