A page of the booklet in my CD of 27 No 1 Beatles singles. I am amused/bemused by the Spanish translation:
'We can work it out' = 'Podemos solucionarlo'
Well, try singing it along to the tune (I bet you all know it.)
And how about 'Day tripper' = 'Vacacion de un dia'
'We can work it out' was no 1 for 5 weeks in UK over Christmas 1965/66 and for 3 weeks in US Jan 1966.
A small and belated September update for 2024, where I am still, after many years' membership, on 365 Project, also now posting elsewhere but wanting...
Cool shot! I love the Beatles, but "Podemos solucionarlo" sounds more like an advert for "un banco" than it does a Beatles lyric. Can't get a loan? Podemos solucionarlo! Ha ha!
Hazel, what's next, The Rolling Stones in Hungarian? Yeah, who doesn't like the Beatles. It's amazing that Mick and I are almost the same age but I'm sure he has better moves!
Translated songs from a foreign language is often a disaster . They do but I`ve never hear one that can compare .
Can`t see the B. is from my childhood ( I was 25 then ) even did n`t like it at first but now I think they`ve made some wonderful music.
Great composition and tribute to a great 9 misic )quartet
Well this is a fairly new CD but I did have some old records and I think I had their autographs but I'm trying not to think about it. Certainly had autographs of Cliff Richard and Adam Faith. Just binned the autograph book at some point!
I'm a great beatles fan, most of my music is on record, sadly no record player now so looking to replace them all with CD's, and FYI I don't think I'll try singing this in spanish :)

Glad it's not just me thinking that!!!
That's an original interpretation!
Yes I did too! And some Rolling Stones ones, my favourites!
'What's in a name?' Quite a lot it seems if it's Hazel!!! Bizarre.........
I don't think I'll answer that!

I agree - it just loses that 'je ne sais quoi'! and the words don't match the music. (I used to like the Beatles but I'm not so keen now.)

Yes, and it was something like a revolution to us then I think.
It was quite difficult to choose which page to photograph but the Spanish translation clinched it.
Well set up!
