fountain and tourists

Peninsula Barracks in Winchester has now become Peninsula Square, a smart residential area with symmetry in buildings and rows of tightly clipped conifers and water features.

William the Conqueror built Winchester Castle here but it was later destroyed as a result of the English Civil War. The barracks on this site housed American troops in 1943/4 waiting to take part in the D-Day Landings.
A nice composition with the architecture, fountain and people

I'm sure it's lovely, beautifully peaceful outside and characterful inside - unfortunately would need more £££s than we have available.
